At Small Size Jobs, we recently completed a professional fence staining project in Edmond that completely transformed the appearance of an aging wood fence. Years of exposure to Oklahoma sun, wind, rain, and changing temperatures had left the fence faded, dry, and weathered. Our goal was to restore the natural beauty of the wood while adding long-lasting protection against future damage.

We started by carefully preparing the fence surface to ensure the stain would absorb properly and deliver a smooth, even finish. Proper preparation is one of the most important steps in any fence staining project because dirt, mildew, and old residue can prevent the stain from penetrating the wood correctly. Once the fence was cleaned and ready, we applied a high-quality exterior wood stain designed to enhance the grain and protect the fence from harsh outdoor conditions.

The transformation was immediate. The fresh stain revived the natural character of the wood, giving the fence a rich, clean appearance that dramatically improved the overall curb appeal of the property. Beyond appearance, the stain also acts as a protective barrier that helps prevent moisture damage, cracking, warping, and premature aging caused by constant exposure to the elements.

Fence staining is one of the best ways to extend the life of a wood fence while keeping it looking beautiful year after year. In Oklahoma, fences endure intense UV exposure and unpredictable weather, making routine staining and sealing an important part of exterior home maintenance. A professionally stained fence not only looks better but can also save homeowners money by reducing long-term repair and replacement costs.
